Back in Oslo again, the last two days in Bassano had fantastic flying conditions. It was bitterly cold at height though, – 15° at 2800 meters. Lots of pilots in the air flying all day. I took off on the last day and flew out over the plains in zero and lift for 10 km before I turned around and came back higher than I left, all without turning once. Driving back it rained all the way from the Brenner pass to southern Sweden.

I made a Moyes logo for my Siemens GSM phone, it might fit on a Nokia? Let me know if you use it (Right click and download)

Borso, Bassano, Italy
Yesterday Olav and I flew a short XC to try and cross over to Mt. Cesen. It was quite turbulent and it got windy when we came to the river. I landed on the Bassano side, Olav crossed over and got to the Observatory on the way back. The day before it rained all day.

The German leauge comp is here, yesterday was cancelled. We wanted to fly in the comp, but they would not let us join today. We waited until quite late before we went up this afternoon as it looked like it might overdevelop, and it sure did. As soon as we had our gliders rigged it was lightning and rain all over the sky. Tomorrow looks good, Sunday a little worse on the forecast.

Semonzo, Bassano, Italy
A quick update from Bassano, it rained as hell all the way from Inssbruck. The next day we flew a nice afternoon flight in slow termal conditions. Yesterday was good an we had a small out and return to the observatory and back. This morning it is quite gray, and looks like overdevelopment will occur during the day.
Our students have flown 4 flights each and is landing on their own now.

I have uploaded some pictures from Vågå last weekend in the photo archive, nice shots by Nils Åge.

Now it off to Bassano, Italy. We are leaving tonight, and will stop in Garmisch to have a look at the fair since nothing much is happening in Bassano this year. We’ll probably be in Bassano late Friday night if things go as planned. I’ll update these pages whenever I can if the Italian GSM networks work better than last year.
